First All-Electric Garbage Truck in North America

Technica and Motiv unveil the first All-Electric Refuse Vehicle, or ERV. Also known as North America’s first all-electric garbage truck, it’s featured in Fast Company Magazine, in a piece by Adele Peters. At the time, the City of Chicago ran the Motiv ERV on different residential refuse and recycling routes of up to 60 miles, saving 2,688 gallons of gas a year.
