Technica Communications Recognized for Media Relations Excellence
Technica Communications, a PR and media relations agency specializing in innovative and technical markets, was recently selected as a finalist in the 2026 PR Daily Media Relations Awards for its work supporting the launch of an all-electric cold-climate heat pump for Jetson Home. The three-week campaign drove a 350% increase in weekly inbound leads, reached a potential audience of more than 546 million, and generated more than $5 million in advertising value equivalent.
For the campaign, Technica developed messaging around affordability, simplified installation and cold-climate performance, then used targeted media relations to position the product within the broader home electrification conversation. The campaign generated 17 original articles across business, technology and clean energy media, including coverage in Canary Media, Fast Company, CleanTechnica, pv Magazine, and BetaKit. Jetson Air was later selected as one of TIME’s 2025 Best Inventions in the Green Energy category, and Jetson Home CEO Stephen Lake was also later recognized on the TIME100 Climate list.
Technica is one of nine finalists in the New Product or Service Launch category, joining campaigns from global brands and leading communications firms including ESPN, Samsung Electronics America, McAfee, Havas Formula, and MullenLowe U.S. Public Relations. The category recognizes media relations campaigns supporting new product and service introductions, with winners to be announced at PR Daily’s Media Relations Awards ceremony on Dec. 2 in New York City.
“This recognition means a lot because it reflects the strategy, creativity, and hard work our team put into making Jetson’s launch stand out in a crowded market,” said Sarah Malpeli, Vice President of Client Services and Growth at Technica Communications. “We had a short runway, so we had to quickly identify the story that would resonate with journalists and connect Jetson to the larger conversations happening around home electrification. Seeing that work recognized alongside campaigns from some of the biggest brands and agencies in the industry makes us incredibly proud.”
The finalist recognition reflects Technica’s broader work as a media relations agency for venture-backed companies operating in emerging and technical markets. By combining sector expertise, disciplined messaging and targeted reporter relationships, the agency helps clients enter relevant industry conversations, differentiate complex technologies and earn the third-party credibility needed to attract customers, investors, partners and other stakeholders critical to growth.
