MONITORING, REPORTING, AND VERIFICATION (MRV)
Constitutes a comprehensive procedure involving several steps to quantify the reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from a particular mitigation activity, such as curbing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, over a defined timeframe. Subsequently, the findings are reported to an accredited third party, which undertakes the verification process to certify the results. This certification allows the issuance of carbon credits.
