FAST CHARGING

 In

Fast charging for electric vehicles (EVs) involves two main types of stations: Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC). AC stations have an onboard converter, while DC stations, with an off-board converter, can deliver up to 350 kW of power, charging an EV in as little as 15 minutes – but usually only to 80% to protect the health of the battery. This fast-charging capability makes DC stations ideal for shortstops, fleet charging, and high-usage vehicles like buses and trucks.
