Systems that harness solar energy through elongated rectangular, curved (U-shaped) mirrors. These mirrors are strategically tilted towards the sun, directing sunlight onto tubes (or receivers) running along the mirrors’ length. The reflected sunlight heats a fluid circulating through these tubes. Subsequently, the heated fluid is employed to vaporize water in a traditional steam-turbine generator, ultimately generating electricity.
