Ragan Communications and PR Daily Honors Technica Communications at the 2020 Media Relations Awards Virtual Gala
Ragan Communications and PR Daily have named Technica Communications a finalist and runner up in the 2020 Media Relations Awards in the Global Media Relations Category for the agency’s work on the 2019 launch of ZeroAvia. Technica and other winners were recognized during a virtual awards gala on Thursday, October 15.
For the ZeroAvia launch campaign, Technica, in partnership with UK PR firm, Madano, executed a series of press releases and social media support that garnered an overwhelming amount of media attention and put ZeroAvia on the lips of investors, potential partners, and government regulators.
Three days into the media blitz, ZeroAvia received inquiries from three airlines, three investors, and many potential partners. Additionally, 11 upcoming conferences made room for the company to speak on their panels, including the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit, the National Association of State Energy Officials, and Revolution Aero USA. ZeroAvia was also selected as a finalist for the 23rd annual SXSW Innovation Awards under the Smart Cities, Transportation & Logistics category for its zero-emission powertrain solution. The SXSW Innovation Awards recognize and celebrate the most exciting tech developments in the connected world.
Together, Technica and Madano secured a variety of exposure for ZeroAvia. The 138 articles and release pickup equated to over 401 million in potential reach. ZeroAvia would have had to purchase over $3.7 million in advertising to equal the same exposure level.
Finalists for the Media Relations Awards represent the innovative and successful media relations campaigns and projects that delivered results for organizations and clients. The virtual event was hosted by Ginger Zee, an Emmy and Murrow Award-winning meteorologist and chief meteorologist at ABC News.
