THE COMPANY

Sea Change offers advisory, talent mapping, and executive search services across energy, mobility, and infrastructure sectors. The company aims to address the climate crisis by providing the right talent to execute urgent solutions.

THE CHALLENGE

In 2023, Sea Change embarked on a significant rebranding initiative, transforming its former Enertech brand into the broader Sea Change brand, which was relatively unknown at the time. This was done to represent its expanded services better and solidify its reputation with venture capitalists and corporations by building strong industry relationships and demonstrating its commitment to climate solutions.

THE STRATEGY

Technica’s comprehensive rebrand for Sea Change, which encompassed marketing, messaging, PR, and social media, was designed to firmly establish Sea Change as the leading provider of talent solutions for climate-focused companies and investors.

Technica facilitated the creation of a new logo and website for Sea Change in less than three months. This process, initiated with thorough target market and customer research, aimed to differentiate Sea Change from its former brand and address common pain points in the industry.

To increase brand awareness, foster new relationships, and expand Sea Change’s profile, Technica employed a targeted content and media outreach strategy for content and thought leadership campaigns. In addition, to educate Enertech’s audience on the new brand, the agency sought to place Sea Change with key speaking opportunities and event sponsorships at high-visibility climate tech conferences.

Technica developed targeted content for Sea Change’s brand-new LinkedIn page to build credibility, trust, and a robust lead funnel, combining personal storytelling with a formal brand voice. The content showcased industry expertise, promotional posts, and educational content to position Sea Change as the best strategic talent partner for climate tech startups, VCs and large corporations. By engaging target audiences with a blend of business insights and personal elements, Technica fosters a sense of connection and engagement for Sea Change followers.

THE RESULTS

Sea Change successfully launched at Cleantech Forum 2023 with a sponsorship and subsequent round table opportunity. Over a year, the over-arching strategy yielded significant results for Sea Change.

Technica secured thought leadership placement in publications like POWER Magazine and Sustainable Future News, as well as targeted media interviews and podcast appearances. Further boosting visibility, Technica secured participation in critical events, such as RE+ 2023 and Cleantech Forum, and high-profile speaking engagements at Verge 2023.

Sea Change’s LinkedIn followers grew from zero to over 1,000 by the end of 2023, with top posts reaching over 7,000 impressions. This significant growth in our online presence effectively nurtured leads and positioned Sea Change as a leader in the climate tech talent space, instilling optimism about our future growth in our stakeholders.

The company also fostered relationships with top VCs and climate tech startups, significantly increasing its exposure and positioning itself as a thought leader in climate solutions talent acquisition. These efforts improved brand awareness and a pipeline of high-quality leads for future growth.
