15th Anniversary Workshop Series

In celebration of 15 years of service to the cleantech, sustainability, and renewable energy industries, Technica will kick off a series of virtual workshops to support entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors to make the most of their marketing and PR initiatives in the ever-evolving media landscape.

Workshop #3: Maximizing Exposure and ROI at Conferences

This workshop will take place on June 20 at 9:30 A.M. Pacific.

Conferences are powerful moments in the year for companies to spur customer conversations, gain investor awareness, and build new market pipelines. They can also be expensive, amorphous, and fail to return ROI when disorganized. Various tools in the sales, PR and marketing toolkits can help you increase your success at conferences or when exhibiting. However, planning ahead is key to optimizing your team’s time and efforts.

As preparations for RE+, the largest renewable energy, storage, and transportation conference in the United States, start to ramp up, companies attending this workshop will have a strategic checklist of actions to implement ahead of the event.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • What preparation is required to optimize your event presence
  • Tips for lining up meetings ahead of the event
  • Booth design tips and tricks
  • How the strategic use of press announcements can elevate you above the noise
  • Social media activities to boost your profile before, during and after the event
  • How to evaluate where to spend your budget

Workshop #2: Converting Company Achievements into Media Coverage

This workshop will take place on May 15 at 11:00 A.M. Pacific.

Some people think press releases are dead. They think they don’t work to help startups get media attention, and they are a waste of time. And they are if you are doing them wrong. Others don’t think they have much about their company to talk about. And, they might be right, unless you can look at your startup from the outside. Still, others might understand the importance of press releases but feel frustrated when their customers or partners aren’t open to collaborating on one.

In this immersive workshop, startup founders, business development leaders, advisors, and marketing strategists will learn how to discover what company news is worth promoting and how to effectively convey those stories in ways that will make reporters, investors and other customers stop and take notice.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • How to identify and frame your startup’s achievements in ways that resonate with journalists
  • The value of multiple announcements over time to propel you to reach new milestones
  • How to encourage third parties to collaborate with you on press announcements

Workshop #1: Powering Sales with Customer-Focused Messaging

The success of any startup revolves around the mantra of ABC – Always Be Closing. This is especially true in an industry constantly challenged by the ebb and flow of economic or political influences. But, if your story is relevant and resonates, you can drive consistent media attention to secure the new investors, partners, and customers you need to reach your milestones.

This workshop covers:

  • How to craft messages that resonate with your target audience and the media, ensuring that your successes are effectively communicated and celebrated.
  • Strategies for leveraging messaging to attract, engage, and convert leads, ultimately driving sales and revenue growth for your startup
  • Insights into developing a comprehensive messaging strategy that aligns with your business goals and objectives, helping you to establish a strong presence in the media and market
